Les jeunes femmes sont toujours plus dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es que les hommes mais cela ne se traduit pas pour autant par une am\u00e9lioration significative de leur situation professionnelle. On observe par exemple que la moiti\u00e9 des femmes sont titulaires d\u2019un dipl\u00f4me de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur contre seulement 40&nbsp;% pour les hommes. Compte tenu de leur capital scolaire plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 et du poids important accord\u00e9 aux dipl\u00f4mes dans notre pays, on pourrait s\u2019attendre \u00e0 ce que les femmes soient davantage en emploi. Il faut rappeler que l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 femmes-hommes est un principe inscrit d\u00e8s 1946 dans le Pr\u00e9ambule de la Constitution. En 1972, une premi\u00e8re loi pose le principe du \u00ab&nbsp;\u00e0 travail de valeur \u00e9gale, salaire \u00e9gal&nbsp;\u00bb et de nombreux autres textes sont depuis venus la compl\u00e9ter. On entretient ainsi l\u2019id\u00e9e que les femmes manquent de confiance en elle. Nous plaidons particuli\u00e8rement en faveur de l\u2019instauration d\u2019un cong\u00e9 paternit\u00e9 obligatoire d\u2019une dur\u00e9e \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 celui des femmes. Cette mesure aurait pour effet, d\u2019une part, de dissiper les r\u00e9ticences des entreprises \u00e0 promouvoir les femmes en anticipant leurs intentions de maternit\u00e9. Cette disparit\u00e9 souligne un partage in\u00e9quitable des responsabilit\u00e9s familiales qui influence directement la possibilit\u00e9 de l\u2019investissement professionnelle, la progression de carri\u00e8re et par l\u00e0 la r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration des femmes. De nombreuses \u00e9tudes ont en effet d\u00e9montr\u00e9 le r\u00f4le de l\u2019arriv\u00e9e des enfants dans les \u00e9carts de salaires entre m\u00e8res et p\u00e8res&nbsp;: l\u2019\u00e9volution salariale des femmes est ralentie apr\u00e8s la naissance d\u2019un enfant alors qu\u2019elle est accrue pour les hommes.
